Our policies

MENU SELECTION ¨ Our menus feature a selection of our most popular items.  These are suggestions.  We would be delighted to arrange menus to suit your particular requirements.  Your menu selection should be submitted to the Catering Office as soon as possible since your price is locked in when your menu is chosen.  Up to three (3) entrees may be chosen for the entire group.  ALL PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE ¨ No food or beverage, except cake, wine or champagne, or ethnic hors d’oeuvres (THEY ARE SUBJECT TO A HANDLING FEE) may be brought into TorNino’s; and no food or liquor furnished by TorNino’s may be taken off the premises.  TorNino’s Banquets complies with all State of California Alcohol and Beverage Control laws and regulations.  Alcoholic beverages will only be sold to persons who can furnish valid identification with proof of age.  Any person attempting to provide alcoholic beverages to a minor will be prosecuted.  This is in accordance with State Business Code 25658-B.

DECORATIONS ¨ The Catering Staff will be happy to assist you with your floral and decorating needs.  TorNino’s will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors or ceilings with nails, staples, tape, or any other substance without the approval of the Catering Manager or Banquet Manager.  The use of bird seed, rice, glitter, or silly string is not allowed.  Any requests for additional linen will be at engager’s expense.

RESTRICTIONS ¨ Fire laws do not allow open flames on the tables.  Centerpieces and decorations must comply with local fire laws.  We reserve the right to inspect and control all private functions.  As the engager, you are responsible for any damages done to the property during contracted times by any of your attendees/employees/independent contractors under your control/hire.  We can not assume responsibility for the damage to, or loss of, any merchandise or articles left or sent to TorNino’s prior to, during, or following your events.

ROOM SET-UP¨ It is the engager’s responsibility to inform TorNino’s of any changes in room set-set-up.  Changes in room arrangement within twenty-four hours of the function will result in a $100 charge for additional labor if your assigned room has already been set.  We reserve the right to charge a service fee for any extraordinary room requirements.  Engagers bringing in photographers must make previous arrangements with management for special room set-up.  Function rooms are assigned to the anticipated number of guests.  If there are fluctuations in the actual number of attendees, we reserve the right to alter room assignments.

SEATING ¨ Seating will be at round tables that seat eight people, unless otherwise requested for ten.

BILLING AND CREDIT INFORMATION ¨  A deposit of $500 is required for confirmation of the date.  Payment in full shall be made one week prior to your function, unless credit has been established.  Banquet bill will be presented to and approved by the person in charge of the event.  Any discrepancy in the billing must be resolved at this time.  The applicable sales tax will be added to the banquet check.  By California state laws, the state sales tax is added to the total cost of the function including service charge.  Receptions, political functions, fund-raisers, class reunions (as well as any other events at the discretion of TorNino’s) shall be paid for in full one week prior to the function.

MINIMUM GUARANTEE ¨ The Catering Office must receive your guarantee by noon three (3) working days prior to your event.  We will prepare for 5% more than the guarantee.  You will be charged for the number guaranteed or the actual number of persons served, whichever is higher.  If a minimum of 50 people is not guaranteed, there will be an additional charge.  Room rental charges will apply whenever food and beverage usage does not meet preset standards.

SURCHARGE ¨ This includes but is not limited to security, set-up, clean-up, linens, microphone, bar set-up and coat check as needed.

AUDIO-VISUAL ¨ Screens, VCR/monitor, and projectors, lapel microphone are available at an additional charge.

CANCELLATION POLICY ¨ If you find it necessary to cancel your event, a return of $450 will be made to the person/organization whom paid the initial $500 deposit if we are able to re-book the entire space you had reserved.  If we are unable to re-book the entire room you held, no refund will be given.
